Alex Shekhtman

Alex Shekhtman is vice president of A&A Design Build Remodeling. Alex is civil engineer by education and, as such, possesses a deep knowledge of how structures work. In 1990, he began his work in the remodeling industry as a craftsman and, based on his experience in the field, understands the many facets of the remodeling process. Also, having lived through several large –  scale remodeling projects in his own homes, Alex understands the experience from the client’s perspective and makes all efforts to have the work flow as smoothly as possible.

Alex stays current with new remodeling products and techniques, and as a member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has become a Certified Remodeler (CR). This program is NARI’s method of recognizing individual contractors who have met specific criteria of experience and commitment to ethical conduct and professionalism. Certification provides special recognition to those who, by fulfilling the prescribed requirements of performance and conduct, have demonstrated a high level of competency and ethical standards in the remodeling industry.

Recently Alex also received the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation. This program teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to working in the fastest growing segment of the residential remodeling industry: home modifications for the aging-in-place.

Alex enjoys interacting with people and the company benefits greatly from his experience in sales, marketing and project management.
