My life is full of love and compassion. I am surrounded by people who care for me, and I care about them in return. Because I want my loved ones to know how much I appreciate them, I manifest kindness toward them.

I am always looking for ways to make someone’s day. Maybe tonight is my spouse’s turn to do dishes. Instead of leaving my partner in the kitchen to take care of the dishes alone, I happily offer to assist. Or perhaps my best friend is going through a tough time. Instead of just thinking about how I should call her, I do. I may even drop by to lend an ear.

When it comes to my loved ones, there’s no such thing as too much kindness. However, while I practice caring for others, I am also sure to take good care of myself. After all, I only have something to offer when my own cup is full. Because I tend to my own needs, I am better able to take care of others.

If I ever begin to feel like someone I love is undeserving, I take a moment to reflect on what I cherish about them. With my partner, I remember the reasons I chose them in the first place. With my children, I think about how they looked when they were first born, so new and innocent. Keeping these things in mind, I am ready to be kind to them.

Today, I manifest kindness toward my loved ones at every opportunity. Remembering why I love them comes easily to me, and caring for them is a natural outpouring of that love. Because I also take good care of myself, I have so much to give!
