I enjoy meeting people and getting to know them.

I am thankful for each opportunity to expand my circle of friends. Since I regularly meet new people, these opportunities abound. And in each of these situations, I count my many blessings because getting to know new people is enjoyable for me.

I feel confident in my social skills. After all, I use them constantly, whether with people I know well or total strangers. They may be the most well-oiled of all the abilities I have, since I use them so much. Therefore, when going into a situation with new people, I know I have what it takes to make friends or acquaintances with anyone I like.

Also, I tend to like people. Everyone has something interesting to teach me, even if I disagree with their views. And I love to learn, so I seek out opportunities to learn from others by engaging them in conversation.

When I find myself in challenging times, I am glad of all the people I can count as my friends. Some are now my good friends. Others, I talk to from time to time. Both offer me compassion and valuable perspective when life seems rough.

Letting new people become my friends and acquaintances also benefits me when my life feels easy and smooth. Then, they celebrate with me and provide me with companionship. And I do the same for them. Because this is one of the outcomes of getting to know new people, I find the process enjoyable.

Today, I am thankful for all the friends in my life. I am glad that I take the time to make new friends.
