Wayne McDowell, owner of McDowell’s Complete Chimney Sweep Service, since 1978 and Associate for Viridian, “Power with Purpose”.

I have always, as far back as I can remember, been of service to my community. From altar server in church, newspaper server, worked for postal service, served in Army Special Forces in Vietnam, Civil Servant Baltimore City Fire Dept. for 29 years, served on many church, school and hospital boards, and owner of my Chimney Sweep Service for 32 years.

To serve well as a Baltimore City Fire Officer and Complete Chimney Sweep Service one must be educated in the Latest Safety Standards and Regulations because people’s lives depend on your decisions, which must be correct.

To comply with applicable codes I have always maintained a Nationally Certified Chimney Sweep on every chimney cleaning or evaluation that my company has performed.   We use the best and safest methods to get the job done correctly without harm or damage to person or property and most importantly so our clients can sleep well at night knowing that their fireplace, woodstove or furnace chimney is in the best condition to perform it’s function venting their heating sources.
