Nilos Sakellariou

Nilos Sakellariou is the Managing Director of NTS-Bearing LLC located in Annapolis, Maryland.  Bearing is a full-service wealth management firm that offers a private family office model.  He oversees all interactions within the office and personally attends to all client investment issues.  Mr. Sakellariou’s clients receive individualized service and unwavering attention to detail.  For over twenty years, Mr. Sakellariou has assisted local families achieve their financial goals, preserve their wealth, and build lasting legacies for their future generations and loved ones.  His experience and extensive licensing allows for the creation of client portfolios which go well beyond simple stocks and bonds.

By leveraging over 22 years of professional experience in wealth management, and using his strong statistical and mathematical background, Mr. Sakellariou has developed unique investment models that he customizes for each client relationship.  He will review your total financial assets, along with your goals and current needs; then, by examining the economic climate, he will define and implement a tailored strategy to meet your objective.  Your assets will be safe-guarded by Fidelity Institutional Services through its wholly owned National Financial Services subsidiary. NTS-Bearing is affiliated with Arete Wealth Management LLC which is a member of FINRA and SIPC.

Prior to NTS-Bearing, Mr. Sakellariou applied his boutique approach to relationship management and his investment models as a Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch & Co.  For nearly 20 years, he ensured his clients did not get lost in the shuffle of a large firm, consistently providing the individualized service that differentiated him from the herd.  He was rewarded for his efforts by attaining the title of Vice President and the internal Merrill Lynch & Co. accreditation of Certified Financial Manager (CFM).

Mr. Sakellariou received his BA in Economics, with Honors, from the College of Wooster.  While there, he was accepted as a member of the Economics Honors Chapter and earned admission to The Dean’s List.  His interest in investment strategy and safe-guarding of wealth was put to work as a member of the student-run college endowment fund and as three-term Treasurer of his college fraternity, Phi Omega Sigma.  He also demonstrated his leadership abilities as the Captain of the Men’s Varsity Swim Team and as a nominee for the title of Outstanding Male Senior for The College of Wooster.

In addition to his interest in portfolio theory, Mr. Sakellariou enjoys spending time with his family.  He has three young daughters who keep him and his wife very busy. He is an active Koi hobbyist and avid skier.  He also loves to use his strategic skills and anticipatory awareness during a good game of chess.
