Ken Schaffer is president of Rampart Security Systems, located in Ellicott City, Maryland. Ken has been helping folks to protect their families and businesses for over 25 years. In addition to his impressive technical credentials as a graduate of VA Tech as an Electrical Engineer, a Master Limited Electrician’s License, and a NBFAA Alarm Technician Certification, Ken brings to his clients an absolute and unwavering commitment to Integrity and their well-being.

Ken began his career, after graduation from VA Tech, as a high school math teacher in Baltimore City obtaining his Maryland State Teacher Certification from Towson University in the process. In 1985, Ken started his own company, Rampart Security Systems, in Baltimore as part of the national Rampart dealer network. He moved his business and his family to Ellicott City in 1992.  Ken and his wife of 27 years, Yonghee, have two children.

Ken has experience with traditional security systems as well as the newest wireless, internet-based video, and the unique police-priority video-verified alarm technology, and can advise clients on the best and most cost-effective security solutions for virtually any application or budget.
