Stillness In Action ~ Mindfulness in a Hectic Modern World
Teens & Young Adults: Do you struggle with stress and anxiety, have trouble focusing, or feel bogged down with constant information bombardment at school and home? Are you looking for a way to bring clarity to your daily life and your relationships with family, friends, and peers?
Parents: Are you trying to balance everything from the stress of the daily grind to the responsibility of guiding your child down the right path?
The chaos and demands of the modern world do not need to rule your life! Cultivating mindfulness through meditation can be your greatest tool for solving problems, making decisions, fostering personal growth, and taking control of your life.
In this powerful two-hour workshop, Presenter Rev. James Granderson will introduce participants to meditation and the concept of mindfulness, and illuminate their benefits for mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health. He will also explain how these practices can be used as indispensable tools for creating and achieving life goals, resolving conflicts and developing healthy relationships.
Participants will explore the various models of meditation practice that allow individuals to cultivate the “Pure Observer,” opening the way for becoming masters of mind, body, and emotion. Following this discussion, participants will be introduced to several different meditation techniques and be able to try some for themselves- hopefully putting them into practice later.
In this thought-provoking and engaging presentation for teens, young adults, and parents, you will:
– Become familiar with the concept of mindfulness and the transformative practice of meditation
– Explore various techniques and the countless benefits of meditation practice
– Set out on the path of mindfulness and take control of your life
(This workshop serves as a perfect introduction for James’s Four-Week Meditation Package starting May 10th)
